The European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Trans European Scientific Contest



The TESC session was held on September 20th. The jury evaluated pre-recorded presentations of the following participants:

Anaïs Goûteron (FRA): Evolution of functional parameters and potential prognostic value of the functional recovery after surgery of Lumbar spinal stenosis

Helen Natasha Locke (GB): User perspectives on a novel smartphone brainwave entrainment technology (BET) for chronic pain management in a home setting

Neža Majdič (SLO): The use of Multivariate Statistical Process Control for Mixed-Type Data in Rehabilitation

Maxime Valet (BEL): Multiple sclerosis-related fatigue and functional impairments: a combined approach

Jennifer Welten (NED): The effect of coping style and self-efficacy on anxiety, depression and life satisfaction of patient-partner couples after stroke



After considering the evaluation rules, the first three places were taken by:

1st place: Maxime Valet (BEL): Multiple sclerosis-related fatigue and functional impairments: a combined approach

2nd place: Jennifer Welten (NED): The effect of coping style and self-efficacy on anxiety, depression and life satisfaction of patient-partner couples after stroke

3rd place was shared by: Neža Majdič (SLO): The use of Multivariate Statistical Process Control for Mixed-Type Data in Rehabilitation and Mirko Filippetti (ITA): Combined effects of cerebellar transcranial direct current stimulation and transcutaneous spinal direct current stimulation on robot-assisted gait training in patients with chronic brain stroke: A pilot, single blind, randomized controlled trial
